'Edie'
HOLLISTER - Edith "Edie" Hedgepeth McGee, 79 died Saturday July 29, 2017 at her home. She was born in Warrenton, NC to the late John C. and Ruth Ellen Richardson Hedgepeth. Edie was also preceded in death by five sisters, Patsy, Mae Eva, Avis, Lorine and Bernice.
Mrs. McGee was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church as well as a member of the Haliwa - Saponi Indian Tribe. She retired from Becton - Dickinson Pharmaceutical.
Rev. Willie Silver will conduct funeral services 2:00 PM Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Jesse E. McGee, children, Pam (Ray) Spresser, Jewel (Mike) Bissonnette, Deke (Barb) McGee, Keith (Dawn) McGee and Melody McGee-Kizer; sisters, Emma T. Grebos and Ida V. Richardson; brother, John D. (Connie) Hedgepeth; grandchildren Jennifer, Nydia, Melanie, Amanda, Troy, Katie, Rachael, Amy, Colleen, Jesse, Ty, Laura, Alex and Jessica; great grandchildren, Selina, Alicia, Anjelica, Cristina, Carmine, Lou, Pat, Natalie, Gabriella, Ray, Ayden, Aveline and Callen; and numerous extended family members that she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM - 8 PM Wednesday August 2nd at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney / Heart Foundation.
Arrangements are by Blaylock Funeral Home in Littleton. Online condolences may be made at www.blaylockfh.com

Edith was my sister in law and although we have not seen each other in years, my heart was filled with sadness upon hearing of her passing. She was a beautiful lady. May her memories comfort you during this difficult. Sending my prayers and love. Sheila
