Gloria Murphy Obituary

Gloria Yaned Murphy, age 75, of Rocky Mount, NC, formerly of Uniontown passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at her home. She was born in Asuncion, Paraguay on August 16, 1937 the daughter of the late Martin Rojas and Valadiana Gonzolez Rojas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Murphy, III and a brother, Ramon Rojas.
She graduated high school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Gloria was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rocky Mount, NC. She was the owner and operator of Gloria's Upholstery and Draperies. She also made military uniforms and canvas boat covers. She retired as a receptionist for H & R Block.
Left to cherish Gloria's memory are her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Murphy, daughter, Adela Harlow and husband D.C. of Woodbridge, VA, grandchildren, Lawrence Baumiller, III and wife of April of Kittery, MA, Amber Burgess and son Khiry of Rocky Mount, NC and Norrin Harlow of Woodbridge, VA, great grandchildren, Abbigale Baumiller and Lawrence Baumiller, IV of Kittery, ME, and sisters Ibona and Patriciana of South America.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends may call Thursday from 2 until 4:00 and 7 until 9:00 PM and Friday, April 5, 2013 from 9 until 10:00 AM. A Blessing Service celebrating Gloria's life will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM with Rev. Father Ronald Simboli officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
