I knew Buddy when we were both elementary school kids and both lived on Long Street in Rocky Mount . I had lost touch as I left Rocky Mount but saw him for a few minutes when I was working in Rocky Mount in the mid-90's. That one block where we lived had lots of kids with a very narrow age span (so many that the city put a "kids playing" warning sign at the beginning of the block) ..... we played together and all had lots of fun. Like most of us, he was adventuresome and didn't mind taking childhood risks. Condolences to his mother and family.
