John Henry Williams

John Henry Williams John Henry Williams, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Nash General Hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Nash County. John was the son of the late Joel Elijah and Zoma Grace Rose Williams. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys W. Strickland and Catherine W. Todd, and two brothers, Donald W. and J.T. Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Jessie Webb Williams of the home; one daughter, Janice W. Koehl of Garner; two sons, Henry Boliver and Benjamin Joel Williams of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Ruth W. Howell, Grace W. Peele, Virginia W. Bradley, all of Rocky Mount, and Isadora W. Staton of Fayetteville; one brother, Herbert H. Williams and wife Judy of Whitakers; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at Bowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to North Rocky Mount Church of God Children's Ministries at 2413 Goldrock Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
