Roderick Harrell Obituary
Roderick Allan Harrell, 88, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Sunday, December 6, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 12 at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro followed by a graveside service at Macclesfield Cemetery. Visitation with the family will precede the funeral service at 10:00 am at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro.
Mr. Harrell was a long-time bookkeeper/accountant and a servant of God and the community.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sudie Langley Harrell, father Thad Harrell, and nephew Ken Harrell.
He is survived by his former second wife Rachel Jenkins Harrell and former first wife Dorothy Parker Banks; his brothers and their wives Jack and Brinkley Harrell, Stephen and Delphia Harrell, and Millard Harrell; his oldest son Mike Harrell with wife Susie and grandchildren Channing and Morgan, and great grandchildren Noah and Reagan; his youngest son James Robin Harrell with wife Susan Harrell and grandchildren Alex and Kelley; nieces and nephews Pat Harrell Raper and husband, Ken, Jay Harrell and wife, Cindy, Steve Harrell and wife, Kim, Mark Harrell and wife, Wendy, and Jason Harrell and wife, Debbie.
Allan will always be remembered for his passion for cooking and eating, military service, amazing musical talent, sense of humor and general love of life and dancing.
