Roland Leroy Melton

Roland Leroy Melton, 80, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017. He was born September 5, 1937 in Halifax County to the late Isaac and Anna Murphy Melton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Louise Connie Melton; daughter Cheryl Melton Rawls; sisters Virginia Rogers, Mildred Bryant, Peggy Digiovanni and Dorothy Parker; brothers Thomas, Bill and Isaac Earl Melton.

Roland is survived by his daughter Anna Jean Melton; son Joseph "Rocky" Farmer; grandchildren Melissa, Brent and Courtney Farmer, Ashley and Taylor Rawls and Lindsay Melton; great grandchildren Kaylee and Autumn Boyce; brother Joe Melton(Linda); sister Patsy Williams(Bruce).

A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the service following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
