Alice "Louise" Snow

Mrs. Alice "Louise" Snow, age 98, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her family at her residence.

Mrs. Snow was born in Calhoun, GA, on August 9, 1927, daughter of the late John Winfield Long and the late Willie Richard Shelton Long Lowery. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Lamar Snow, a sister, Bettye Poon, and by her stepfather, James G. Lowery. Mrs. Snow was a 1944 graduate of Model High School. For over 26 years she worked as a buyer and salesperson for Hilburn Shoe Store before her retirement. Mrs. Snow loved flowers but most of all longed-for Heaven to be with her Savior. She loved her church dearly, being a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus Christ for eternity.

Survivors include her 5 children, Penny Dudley (Jerry), Rickey Snow, Steve Snow, Darrell Snow (Laura), all of Rome, and Gene Snow, Gainesville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a sister and 3 brothers, Joyce Sewell, James Lowery, Bill Lowery, and John Lowery; a daughter-in-love, Nancy Snow; her best friend, Faye Couey; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, September 29, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Steven Swift and Rev. Alex Glover officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery with her grandson, Nick Snow, conducting the graveside.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12pm until service time at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 514 E 20th Street, Rome, GA 30161.
