David Cloud Obituary
David went home to Jesus on Good Friday, April 7, after a short battle with sepsis.
Born July 25, 1973, he was the son of David Clifford Cloud, Sr. and Patricia Jordan Cloud.
David graduated from Parkview High School in Gwinnett County and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at Berry College in Rome. He played multiple sports in high school and was a starter on the Berry College baseball team from 1991 - 1995. Through the years, he coached many youth sports as his children participated. An outdoorsman, David enjoyed playing golf, hunting and fishing.
David was an executive with AFLAC. He received numerous awards and commendations during his career.
He was a member of West Rome Baptist Church, the Berry Baseball Alumni, and Cherokee Golf & County Club. David was an avid supporter of Road Trip Home Animal Rescue in Acworth, co-founded by his wife, Heather.
David is survived by his wife, Heather Taylor Cloud; daughter Lauren Alexis Cloud; sons, Austin Davis Cloud and Aiden Jordan Cloud; parents, David C. Cloud Sr. and Patricia Jordan Cloud of Grayson, GA; sister Allison Cloud Lindsey, her husband John, and their children, John David Lindsey and Olivia Lindsey, also of Grayson, GA; his in-laws, Bill and Judy Taylor of Rome; and his three dogs: Poodle, Georgia, and Menor.
David led a life worthy of celebration. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Road Trip Home Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 372 Acworth, GA 30101, www.roadtriphome.org.

We are so sorry for such a great loss to Heather, Billy, Judy, and David's kin and family. What a wonderful thing to find such great love and what such tragedy to lose him at such a young age. We remember meeting him at the Ledbetter Reunion 2018 and could see Heather was so happy.

Regrettably, only once did I meet my delightful nephew
David Cloud. It was the 2018 Ledbetter Reunion that
welcomed newlyweds David Cloud and Heather Taylor,
with their son Aiden Cloud.
With happiness glowing all over her, niece Heather intro-
duced David to dozens of her Ledbetter cousins whom she
grew up with, plus we three remaining uncles and aunts;
(siblings of Heather’s Mom Judy Ledbetter Taylor).
One and all, the reunion was charmed by David’s pleasing
personality. He found himself promptly adopted into the
Ledbetter clan. To celebrate this dubious honor David
revealed his humorous side - he simply leaned over and
kissed his startled bride on the cheek. The uncouth clan
roared ‘kiss her right, kiss her right’, which David happily
did, correctly.
He got a standing ovation.
The Ledbetter Family is thankful for that one day with the
Cloud family and for every day Heather and David had to-
gether. Still, we feel cheated - as do David’s numerous
friends and kin - that so young, he left us.
David, we hardly knew ye!

We were so heartbroken to hear that David lost his battle. Please know we are lifting you in prayer and wishing peace for you and all those that loved David. Wow! He was so darn easy to love!! David will be dearly missed hear on earth. Everyone that met him claimed him as their friend. I have never known a person more willing to carry the burdens of others greater than he did. This is so unbelievable. I am going to miss David on group date nights. I only knew him for a few years, but he was fun, friendly, and generous. I just can't believe he is gone. David was such a bright light with a positive attitude. His love for his family, Heather and dogs was always on the forefront and shown through any time we had a conversation.
