Howard Ray Obituary
Wayne was born on March 17, 1951, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, son of the late Howard Paul Ray and the late Lucetta Schwenk Ray. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Reggie Ray; his grandparents, Lester Ray and Audie Maude Ray; and his stepmother, Lois Thomas Ray.
Wayne honorably served his country in the United States Army. He went on to work in sales for several years, most recently at PaperPack Inc. prior to his retirement. He was of the Christian faith and known for his kind heart and steady presence. Wayne was a devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend. His quiet strength and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Camden Delaney Ray; cherished granddaughter, Emersyn; stepson, TJ Ezell; sister, Paulette Phillips; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hunger Ministries or to a charity of your choice in Wayne's memory.
