Randy Muller

Mr. Randy Muller, age 80, of Rome, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 31, 2024.

Mr. Muller was born July 16, 1944, in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, to Bertrand Theodore Maximim Muller, Sr. and Dorothy Hamill Hansen. He earned degrees at Tufts University and Shippensburg University and enjoyed a 30+ year career as an Electrical Engineer, retiring from International Paper.

Randy was an amazing partner, father, grandfather, and friend and was loved by all who knew him. He was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir and helped in the Community Kitchen. He enjoyed giving back to the community, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity at the ReStore, Backpack Buddies food delivery program for children, and AARP Tax Aide Program. With Laura by his side, Randy became an avid traveler cruising around the world multiple times a year. He loved sharing photos of their endeavors with his children and grandchildren. When he was home, Randy could be found on the sidelines or in the bleachers cheering for his grandsons during any of their sports activities. His encouragement and after-game hugs will be truly missed.

Survivors include a daughter, Marcy Muller; a son, Carl Muller (Kelli); two grandsons, Andrew Muller and Kaiden Muller; his girlfriend, Laura Frederick; and a brother, Kenny Hansen. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Dorothy Muller, and his stepfather, Joe Hansen.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 7, 2024, in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rome, Georgia with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Randy's name to Habitat Coosa Valley, St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Rome, Georgia, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
