Ray Logan Obituary

Mr. Ray Reed Logan, age 68, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at his residence.

Ray was born in Rome, GA on August 23, 1956, son of the late William Hugh Logan and the late Genelma Sue Reed Logan. He was also preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Ray Logan, and his grandson, Porter Alexander Helms.

Mr. Logan was a graduate of Model High School, and he was a member at Riverside Baptist Church. He went to work for the Floyd County Police Department in 1978 and served for more than 38 years before retiring with the rank of Sergeant in 2016.

Survivors include his daughters, Jenifer Logan, and Beth McCain (Ben); his grandchildren, Emma Helms, Luke Lloyd, Lilly McCain, and Libby McCain; his brother, Danny Logan (Rany); his fur babies, that were more like his children, Ebby and Flo; his nieces, Wendy Hoglund (Stefan), and Misty Mills (Jeremy); several great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Logan will be cremated.
