Thomas Camp Obituary

Mr. Thomas 'Dale' Camp, age 80, of Armuchee, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 11, 2025.

Mr. Camp was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 28, 1945, son of the late Thomas Nelson Camp, former Rome Chief of Police, and the late Ruby Atkison Camp.

Senior Master Sgt. USAF (Ret.) Thomas 'Dale' Camp was a proud veteran, having retired from the United States Airforce. He also retired from General Electric, where he worked as a Finisher. He was an outdoor enthusiast, but fishing was his passion. He enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, however favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Sheryl Bower Camp; his children, Travis Camp, Kristi Bell, and Kimbery Brown (Joh); his grandchildren, Samuel Bell, Colin Bell, Dillan Jones, Dalton Brown, and Haiden Brown.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, and military honors were rendered by the Robins Air Force Base Honor Guard.

The family would like to thank the Coronary Care Team at Advent Health Redmond for their care for Mr. Camp. A special thanks to his doctors, Dr. Hamonshu Patel and Dr. Kuhal Patel; and his favorite nurse Sarah.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel is honored to serve the family of Mr. Thomas 'Dale' Camp.
