Zelle Judith Canada "Judy" Jacobs

Mrs. Zella Judith "Judy" Canada Jacobs, age 80, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her residence.

Judy was born in Cherokee County, Alabama, on December 24, 1944, daughter of the late Ralph Canada and the late Eunice St. Clair Canada.

Judy was a graduate of East Rome High School where she was a member of the band and the National Honor Society. She graduated from Berry College where she was a member of the Rho Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta PI and Phi Alpha Theta. She taught and retired from Adairsville Middle School where she was named teacher of the year in 1991-1992 school year. Judy a was a member of the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; she will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Dennis L. Jacobs; daughter, Suzi Lance (Mark); sons, Joey Jacobs (Martha) and Victor Jacobs (Dayna); sisters, Glenda Jacobs and Linda Dean; 6 grandchildren, Will Jacobs (Isabel), Kate Allen (Greg), Nick Jacobs, Rachel Holt (Nicholas), Ryan Lance, and Brett Lance; great-grandchildren, Aisley Wolfe, Arrington Freeman, Wyatt Allen, and River Jacobs; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Mac McCurry and Pastor Clyde Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 12:00pm until 1:45pm.

Active pallbearers include: Will Jacobs, Nick Jacobs, Ryan Lance, Brett Lance, Kate Allen, and Rachel Holt.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that a memorial contribution be made, in honor of Judy, to Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church.
