Emily Sullivan Obituary
She was born on October 2, 1931, in Schenectady, NY. On February 15, 1966, in Utica, Emily was united in marriage to Edward M. Sullivan, a blessed union of more than 57 years, until his passing in 2023. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Sullivan's working career was as a bookkeeper at various local automobile dealerships. She was of the Catholic faith.
Emily liked puzzles enjoyed the outdoors, especially time with her family at their camp on Big Moose, where she looked forward to canoe trips with her friends The Jolly Moosers. In recent years, she especially enjoyed many happy times spent with her dear friend, Karen Brown.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Molly) Sullivan of Bloomsburg, PA, and Kimberly McLaughlin of Cambridge, MA; and three grandchildren, Mikaela, Ryan, and Hailey. She was predeceased by her husband in 2023, and by their son, Edward Sullivan, Jr., in 2016.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Masonic Care Community, or the Alzheimer's Association.
