Carolyn Cittadino Obituary

Carolyn J. (Connie) Cittadino, formerly of Whitesboro, passed away on November 19, 2024, at The Grand, Utica, with her family by her side.

She was born, June 21, 1939, in Cortland, NY, a daughter of Michael and Mary Cinquanti Chiara. She was a graduate of Cortland High School. On May 5, 1962, Connie married Andrew J. Cittadino in Cortland. She began her career as a legal secretary, and completed her career as secretary to the Under Sherriff of Oneida County Sherriff's Dept. Connie was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.

In addition to Andy Cittadino; she is survived by their children and spouses, Dana Cittadino and Jon Gorman of Toronto, Canada, and Darren and Allison Cittadino of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Andrew Newby and partner Em Hayes of Toronto, Chiara Newby of Toronto, and Connor Cittadino of Whitesboro; sister and brother-in-law, Marietta and Dan Schuth, Rochester; brother, Richard Chiara, AZ; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Anthony Chiara.

Connie's family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of her caregivers at The Grand, especially on the 7th floor and the 2nd floor, during her stay there. The care, compassion and friendship given to Connie and her family will never be forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, November 25, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main Street, Whitesboro. A prayer service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Connie's name to a charity of your choice.
