Frances Decelles Obituary

Frances Lee Decelles, 70, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Rome Health. She was born in Norwich, CT, on July 22, 1954, a daughter of the late Earl and Alice (Angel) Benoit.

Lee was a Certified Nurse's Assistant and worked at Stonehedge Nursing Home and Rome Health for many years. She loved to go to the casino, and play games and cards with family. She was very crafty, and was known for making jewelry boxes for friends and family.

Lee is survived by her partner, Mary Jane Harvey; three daughters, Joleen Decelles, Sue Decelles and Melissa Schuster (Paul); two sisters, Edith LeClair (Bob) and Hazel Chase (Chet); a brother, Charles Benoit; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four sisters, Jane Morin, Genevieve Rizzo, Doris Pierce and Alice Fairman; and a brother, Chris Benoit.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
