Frank Cingranelli Obituary

Frank L. Cingranelli, 90, of Rome (formerly of Oriskany) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Frank was born in Rome on May 25,1935, the son of Frank and Frances Cingranelli. He attended Rome schools and was a 1954 graduate of Rome Free Academy. He was the owner of Cingranelli's Appliances in Rome. On June 15, 1957 Frank married Doris A. Caporilli in St. John the Baptist Church, a blessed union of 68 years.

Frank was a quiet man who appreciated life's simple pleasures. He found great joy in fishing on Oneida Lake, tending to his gardens, and playing bocce with his friends. He especially cherished spending time with his wife at their camp in Sylvan Beach where they made happy memories with family and friends. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and was a member of the Toccolana Club.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife Doris; his daughter Debra and her husband Michael Amodio; his son Frank Cingranelli II and his partner Julie Maher; grandchildren Laura and Alyson Amodio; great-grandchildren Chester and Mordecci French. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Joe Taverna and his sister-in-law Carrie Caporilli.

Frank was predeceased by his daughter LuAnn who passed away at the young age of 4 years), his parents, sister Jeanette Taverna, brother-in-law Ricardo Caporilli, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Amelia and Americo Caporilli.

The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Terrace at Woodland and the staff at Bethany Gardens for the wonderful and loving care given to Frank in his later years.

I´m so sorry to hear this sad news about Frank. He was a really great guy, and I enjoyed working with him when he and I did a TV Commercial for his business many years ago. My sincerest condolences to his wife and family.

My heart breaks for Frank and Debbie and family because your dad was like part of my family. I have many wonderful memories of visiting at the camp, going to world series of boces with Sonny and so many outings with your family. Sonny was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. He will truly be missed, but had a life well lived. My deepest sympathies and love.

So sorry to hear of your father´s passing Frank. I never forgot how he told me to pick a TV out when I delivered for him as a young man. Told me to pay him when I could. And I did. Deepest condolences. Rick Corradino.
