Joseph Oleksik Obituary
He was born on August 30, 1948 in Utica, a son of Stanley and Stella Oleksik. He grew up in Utica where he received his education. Joseph began his career as a seamster with Mohawk Valley Workshop, Utica, where they manufactured uniforms for the U.S. military. He continued with them through their transition to Human Technology Corp. of Utica where he worked in the same capacity.
He is survived by his fiancée and companion since 2002, Sharon Bush, Boonville; sister, Mary Jane Welch of Florida; brother, Stanley Oleksik Jr. of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William, and a sister, Gladys Bell.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home. Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, where online messages of sympathy may be made at www.trainorfuneralhome.com.
