Judith Tuthill Obituary

Judith (Judy) Mekkelson Tuthill passed away on April 14, 2025 in Gloversville, NY, where she resided with her loving husband of 47 years, Roger Tuthill and their sweet dog Winnie. Her family was at her side throughout her care by Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville.

Judy, daughter of Norman (Mike) and Laura Mekkelson of Port Leyden, NY, was born on January 12, 1945 in Lowville, NY. Besides being survived by her husband, Judy is survived by her two sons, David S. (Helen) Berube, Florida, and William I. Berube, of Massachusetts, as well as her grandchildren Tyler (Mary Margaret) Berube, Zachary (Kevin Ross) Berube, Jenny (Vincent) Lamano, Zander Berube and Samantha (Josh) Brown. She has three beautiful great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Luna and Faye Berube.

Judy is also survived by her siblings Christine (Vincent) Raneri, Robert Mekkelson and Janet (James) DiManno, as well as her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Indivero and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, infant brother Michael Mekkelson and her sister Nancy Mekkelson.

Judy was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution in Massachusetts, Vermont and New York. She also volunteered for Meals On Wheels and donated her time at an adult day care.

As per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Very sorry to learn of Judy's passing. A good person gone way too soon. When ever we met she would always call me "Georgi Porgi" I'll miss that.
