Kenneth Webster Obituary

BOONVILLE - Kenneth L. Webster Jr., 71, of East Road, husband of Kelly, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Rome Health.

Affectionately known as Kenny, he was born in Port Leyden on August 31, 1953, a son of Kenneth Lawrence and Mildred Leona Snyder Webster Sr. He grew up in Port Leyden and received his education at Port Leyden Central School before graduating from South Lewis High School, Turin, with the Class of 1971.

On October 3, 2015, Kenny was married to Kelly S. Warner at Erwin Park in Boonville.

Kenny enjoyed a lifelong career as a painter. He was employed in painting a large variety of things, including cars, recreational vehicles, buildings, and finally large bridges and industrial tanks for Amstar Painting Company of Western NY, Buffalo, NY.

Following his retirement, Kenny found a new interest and vocation in baking for his family. He greatly enjoyed baking birthday cakes for family members each year, as well as dozens upon dozens of Christmas cookies. He also enjoyed camping, playing cards, and will be fondly remembered for his mechanical abilities at repairing automobiles and as "the handy man around the house." He was always a person who possessed the nature of wanting to help others. He was a talented and accomplished drummer, and over the years Kenny participated in many local bands in the North Country.

In addition to his wife, Kelly, he is survived by sisters, Linda Jones, Nancy Rogers, Wanda (Harold) Nellenback, Susan Carman and Deborah Webster; one brother, Joe Webster; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, along with three feline fur babies that he loved very much, Molly, Sadie and Cookie. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Mildred Webster; nephews, Steven Jones, James Ossont, and by a brother-in-law, Jack Jones.

Also surviving are members of Kelly's family: his mother-in law, Beverly Davis; sisters-in-law, Loretta (Christopher) Leach, Tammy Warner and Henry Darby, and a brother-in-law, Eric Davis. He was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Lisa Mason and husband James, and Kimberly Warner.

Services were held privately on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, NY. A spring interment will be held in Port Leyden Cemetery. There were no calling hours.
