Linwood Gotte Obituary

Linwood J. "Len/Lenny" Gotte, 81, of Oneida, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, July 22, 2024, from a brief illness.

Len was born on May 23, 1943, in Utica, NY, to the late John and Priscilla (St. Denis) Gotte. Len was a graduate of MVCC and Syracuse University. He worked for himself before retiring.

Len is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Renee Welty, of Chadwicks, Amee Camp (Mike Neidl), of Cohoes, Susan Peek (Jon Rose), of Oriskany and Julie Niles (Travis Niles), of Canastota; grandsons, Stephen (Helena) Welty, of Sauquoit, Bryce and Curtis Niles, of Canastota; granddaughters, Deidre Sexton (Christopher), of Chadwicks, Allisyn Peek, of Oriskany and Kendra Niles, of Canastota; great-grandsons, Maxx Malone, of Chadwicks, Carson, Colton and Callen Welty, of Sauquoit; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Gotte, of Rochester; sisters-in-law, Linda Gotte, of Utica and Evelyn Ginney, of Cicero; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Salvatore Gotte, Yvonne "Honey" (Paul) Florentino, Alfred Gotte, John Gotte II, Aline (Carmen) Lee, Kenneth Gotte, Patricia Gotte and Raymond Gotte.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Len will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the Canastota VFW, 3835 Canal Rd., Canastota.

Memorial contributions may be made to any local animal rescue or shelter of your choice.
