To the Buckley Family:
My deepest condolences for the loss of a dedicated, educator who was always involved with her students as a principal: but also looking for the best in all she met and knew. Holding back when appropriate but not afraid to question when she was unsure or curious. A relationship between teacher and administrator that eventually linked both levels in the same building which she proudly proclaimed whenever the chance allowed her. A friendship that started in 1979 and was always around when we had the chance to talk and reminisce. An educator that allowed me to learn, discuss, evaluate, question, evolve as an educator who taught for 35 years in the UCSD. Thank you Miss Buckley.

My condolences to Mrs. Buckley, What a wonderful human being she was, I will never forget her kindness to me as a student at General Herkimer, Two incidents specifically come to mind.... One the beautiful letter that she mailed to me in honor of winning an art contest, & also the call home to my parents, she noticed that I hadn´t been eating lunch, always the attentive Principle that she was. Called my parents because she feared that I may have had an eating disorder... it was later discovered that I was withholding lunch money to by sweets after school. She treated all of her students with kindness, stern when necessary but you always felt loved. May she rest in peace, gone but not forgotten.
