Robert Kane Obituary
Born in Rapid City, SD to John and Agnes (Pfeiffer) Kane. Bob attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1968. Bob entered the Marine Corps where he served for four years. His service brought him to Vietnam and he earned the rank of sergeant.
He continued his education at Herkimer County Community College and finished it at Clarkson University where he earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering. He worked at Allied Signal (later Honeywell) until retiring and moving onto Johnson & Johnson and eventually starting his own consulting business.
Bob met the love of his life Sue (Dorozynski) and they were united on June 9, 1973. They built a life together and had two daughters.
Bob is survived by his wife, daughters Amanda (Glenn Walston) Baxter and Elizabeth (Benjamin) McGarry of York, PA, sisters Mary and Kathy Kane of Whitesboro, Suzanne (Henry) Ng of Fairfield, CA, Aggie (Bill) Barry of New York Mills, brother John Kane of CA, sisters-in-law Mary Currie of Marcy, Janet (Don) Wroblicki and Julianne (Surender) Dorozynski-Essafi of Yorkville and brothers-in-law Thomas (Patricia) Dorozynski of Pine Plains and John (Wendy Balcom) Dorozynski of Leesburg, VA. He is survived by countless nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother and sister-in-law William and Joan (Zwijacz) Kane; his parents-in-law Julian and Madeline (Cirasuolo) Dorozynski, brothers-in-law Stephen Currie and Melvin Bearden, nephew Michael Dorozynski and nephew-in-law Steven Smith.
The family will welcome visitors at Sacred Heart Church in Oxford, PA on June 15 at 10am. Mass to follow. Interment will be private at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
