Ryan P. Drake

Ryan P. Drake, 31, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He was born in Rome on September 25, 1992, a son of Clayton and Sherry (Streiff) Drake. He was a graduate of Adirondack High School, Class of 2011.

Ryan was one of a kind. Ryan will be remembered for his sense of humor. He lit up any room when he walked in. His unforgettable laugh and larger than life personality will never be forgotten.

He had a love for animals, especially his pups, TJ and Trixie.

Ryan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping at Black Lake and being at the family camp on Fish Creek. When not at camp, you could find Ryan in the garage, working on his toys. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, dirt bikes and snowmobiles, or anything with a motor. He also loved to snowboard.

Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Ryan knows that this is just a glimpse into his life and the person he was.

He is survived by his mother, Sherry Drake; two sisters, Alyssa Haley (Shane) and Maria Drake; a step-brother, Donald Morczek, Jr.; grandparents, Sherry Cranford and John "Jack" Streiff; niece, Isabella; nephew, Lucas; aunts and uncles, Kelly Sidley (Richard), Kenneth Streiff (Tracey), James Streiff (Suzanne), Barbara Drake, Deborah Dupre (Scott) and Trudy Drake; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Clayton; step-father, Donald Morczek, Sr.; grandparents, Raymond Cranford and Donald and Barbara Drake; and uncle, Melvin Drake.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 7th, from 2-4:00 p.m.
