Into His Father's Arms
Forever.
Jason Lennon Vian was born November 23, 1980 in Auburn, California. He was lost to an auto accident in Auburn on April 5, 2014 at the age of 33.
A widower for three years after the untimely passing of his beloved wife Serena,
Jason was the beloved father to his four children: Rebecca, 14; Katelin, 11; Patrick, 8; and Hope, 5. He is also survived by his parents, Scott and Kristie Vian of Auburn, Calif., and Rexanne Harris of Texas, and his beloved sister Nicole Block and her husband Nathan Block of Auburn, Calif. Jason was the beloved grandson of Don and Ann Vian of Auburn, Calif. Jason also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory forever.
Jason graduated from Bear River High School in 1999. Jason was involved with many activities during his school years including the school band, 4-H and Vica. Jason loved his family, stand-up comedy and music of many different styles and eras.
As a youth, Jason achieved the Honor of Eagle Scout. He was an active Scout leader with his son Patrick at the time of his passing. As an adult, Jason remained in Auburn and worked in his family's business as a Journeyman Machinist.
Jason was a kind, loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend to many. Jason will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we mourn the loss of Jason we are celebrating and cherishing his life, knowing that he is home in the loving care of his true Father.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Lassila Funeral Chapel, 551 Grass Valley Hwy., Auburn, Calif. 95603. The service starts at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at The New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley, Calif, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Serena.
There will be a visitation Friday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

You always had a smile on your face no matter what you encountered. You were a pillar of strength when in need, a kind heart when all was lost. We all learned something from you about life and didn't have the chance to thank you. I miss you every day and will always miss getting a rash of crap for popping the clutch on the tractor so many summers ago. Until next time my dear friend and cousin, I love you.

I will always think of you when I hear Depeche Mode and Tool, see an awesome dragon sculpture, when I remember playing Pink Floyd "Wish you were here" for the fiftieth time while practicing and laughing when you rolled your eyes.
