Albert Navickis Obituary
Albert "Al" Navickis, 57, of Roscoe, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was born May 21, 1959, in Rockford, the son of Albert and Jane (Godfrey) Navickis. He graduated from Harlem High School, and then went on to study at Rock Valley College, and Evangel University in Missouri. He met the love of his life, Diane Rebecca, and the two married on August 13, 1994. He spent nearly 20 years working for the Winnebago and Boone County Probation Services, and later began Al's Tree Planting. He was an avid Bears, Bulls and U. of I. fan, loved the outdoors, and was a man of faith. Above all else, he was a deeply devoted husband; father, brother, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Diane; two sons, Alec and Austin Navickis; mother, Jane Navickis; siblings, Mike (Pam) Navickis, Marsha (Tom) Nyberg, Curt (Cheryle) Navickis, Lisa (Colin) Bystrom, George (Marie) Navickis, and Kathy (Chris) Harvey; many aunts, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Albert Navickis.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. Friday until time of service. Inurnment private.
