Arnold Schaver Obituary
Arnold D. Schaver, age 75, of Sterling, died Thursday, July 22, 2021 at The Citadel of Sterling.
Arnold was born July 6, 1946 in Morrison the son of Willard and Pauline (Tegeler) Schaver. He was employed at Sears in Rockford for 26 years and later worked at Bergner's in Rockford as Supervisor of Internal Authorization for 19 years.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Wherry of Sterling; one daughter, Melissa (Dave) Hickey of Ariz.; one son, Brad (Christine) Schaver of Rockford; two sisters, Paulette Wolf of Galt and Wanda Wolf of Rock Falls; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Barbara Warren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The funeral will follow at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Grant Mulder of Bethel Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be at Fenton Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
A memorial has been established.

When I was still in school I worked mornings on the loading dock at Sears with Arnie. He taught me how to drink coffee at that early hour.
