Barbara Joan Marinelli, 89, of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born April 13, 1929 in Rockford, IL. Daughter of John Alfred and Edna Mae (Peterson) Lantz. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a Purchasing agent for 35 years at Midwest Associated retiring at the age of 72. In her younger years she loved to play baseball, roller skate and dance. She then found enjoyment in golfing, bowling on a league, reading romance and mystery books, playing Bridge and other card games. She had even competed in card tournaments in Las Vegas. If she was playing any board or card game with the ladies at Fairhaven she could not be disturbed she had that much enjoyment with them. Survivors include her children, Candy Morris, Brad (Judy) Marinelli, Brian (Stella) Marinelli; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Brinker; son-in-law, Don Morris; siblings, Carolyn Lantz, Marian Ryland, Robert Lantz, Marshall Lantz, Roland Lantz.
