CAROLE M. ROWE, 82 ROCKFORD - Carole M. Rowe, 82, of Rockford died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Emeritus Assisted Living, surrounded by her family. Born Nov. 13, 1929, to Herbert and Winifred (Gallagher) Castle. Married the love of her life, Richard Rowe, on Nov. 20, 1948. After a happy and loving marriage of 56 years, Richard died in 2004, six weeks after the death of their beloved son, Jeffrey. Carole retired from Rockford Clinic after working for several years in the pharmacy and insurance departments. Carole and Richard had a long retirement and took many trips. Survived by daughters Kathy (Steve) Youngberg and Nancy (Bob) Clark; grandchildren Steven (Ivy) Klusmeier, Michelle (Ben) Moore, Sara (Josh) Richter, Lisa (Mike) Lee, Kara (Mace) Davis, Andrea Rowe and Tianna (Aaron) La Beau; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona McDuffa; and nephew, Roger McDuffa. Also predeceased by daughter-in-law, Julie Rowe; sister, Beverly Roland; and parents. The family wishes to thank her "other family," the Emeritus (previously Loyalton of Rockford) and Serenity Hospice staffs. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of prayer at 9:45 a.m. in the Parish Hall.
