Charles Rosenquist Obituary

CHARLES H. ROSENQUIST 1933 TO 2009 EAGLE, Colo. - Charles Rosenquist, son of Paul and Ruth Rosenquist of Rockford, died Sept. 20, 2009, in his home in Eagle. Chuck suffered from Parkinson's disease for the last 13 years. Born in Rockford, Ill., on Feb. 28, 1933, and graduated from East High School in 1951. He attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, graduating with a BA in 1955, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. It was at CU that Chuck met Peggy Kohl, and they married in 1955. After serving in the Air Force, Chuck returned to Rockford in 1957, where he worked with his father, Paul, at Rosenquist and Associates. He was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church, and member of the Rockford Country Club and the Lion's Club. Chuck and Peg skied in Colorado for many years, in 1970; he and Peg moved to Vail, where they still spent part of each year. Survived by wife, Peg; children, Eric Rosenquist of San Anselmo, Calif., Gretchen Thevenau of Spring, Texas, and Cristian Swanson of Key West, Fla.; grandchildren, Sealia Thevenau, Charles B. Thevenau, Chase Jeffers and Finn Swanson; and sisters, Charlotte Mullen of Racine, Wis., and Joy Strandquist of Rockford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles H. Rosenquist, to Parkinson's Action Network, 1025 Vermont Ave., NW no. 1120, Washington, DC 20005.

Peg, we'll miss Charles smiling face while tooling around on his cart and walking the dog.It won't be the same up here in Mountain Estates. Please know that we are thinking of you during this sad time. He will surely be missed by many.
