CONNERY A. 'CONNIE' ORSTED-DAY, 59 LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND GREAT-GRANDMOTHER ROCKFORD - Connery A. "Connie" Orsted-Day, 59, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. Born Dec. 27, 1952, in Rockford; the daughter of Ernest and Hattie (Friemuth) Boumgarden. She attended Stillman Valley Schools. Connie was married to the father of her children, Steven Orsted and than married William J. Day on Oct. 16, 2004, in Rockford. Member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Paynes Point. Connie liked to play darts, and cook for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survived by husband, William Day of Rockford; children, Jerry Orsted, Christine (Allen) Goodwin and Dana Orsted, all of Oregon; stepson, Rodger (Brenda) Day of Rockford; birth mother, Marquerite Ralston; sister, Pauline Swanlund of Arizona; grandchildren, Cora, Alicia, Sammantha, Zachary, Jerrick, Deandria, Maegan, Quentyn, Richard, James, Destiny, Ashley, Alanna, Zander and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Gabby, Gracelynn, Bella and Bentley; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; brother, James Boumgarden; and daughter-in-law, Kelley Orsted. Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. Seventh St., Oregon, with visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Myron Bartell will officiate. Burial in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Paynes Point.
