To Polly, Jerry, Rob, Annie and all the family.........Darlene was indeed a special lady. Tough but sweet. She was always so nice to me and I remember her always working and keeping busy. I never called her by her real name, I just called her "mom" because thats what she reminded me of........Although it was difficult to move to Arizona from Illinois, she was so glad to be near her family and enjoyed the beautiful weather of the area. She loved her family and she was the proudest great grandmother and grandmother and mother and to know now, no more pain or suffering and no more earthly frustrations to bear. May God add His peace and understanding and love to all who are hurting from losing this special person.

To my beloved mother,
For months, I have watched your memory slip away and and witness the ravage of disease each and every day. Prior to your passing, the pain and sadness of loosing" you" was so difficult. To know how your body fought long after the mind was no longer present,to also see how you became so frail and helpless, and the sadness of seeing you suffer. Well, through the loving care, support of your family and the wonderful care from Hospice of the Valley, you were able to leave this earth in peace. I was with you mom, holding your hand and your heart until your last breath. Now, you are in a more sacred and special place , the place known as Heaven.....your final resting place. My love for you will remain forever in my heart and know that loosing you, I have lost a lifelong friend and confidante. You taught me so much. You taught me resiliancy to face the storms of life., those of which you shared with me. However, you perservered until God called you home. You will be missed more than you will ever know. With my love always,
Your daughter~

Dear Polly, Jerry, Rob, Annie and Family,
My heart is hurting for all of you as Darlene was a very special person to me also. I can only hope that when I reach the end of my life it will be as full of stories, experiences and fun times as Darlene's was. She was quite a fun gal and such a hardworking person with a ton of energy. What a great role model. Breathe in the memories and let them sustain you through all these tough days ahead.
God's love and blessings for comfort to all of you - Lora
