Delores Emery Obituary
Delores "De De" A. Emery, 80, Rockford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, in the presence of her loving husband, Jim, and her daughter, Dorothy. She was born September 15, 1937, in Rockford, the daughter of H. Leroy and Bernice (Bengtson) Anderson. De De married James "Jim" Emery in Rockford. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at Central Tile and Terrazzo for many years. De De enjoyed life and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; daughters, Dorothy Pedersen of Rockford and Denise (Richard Sr.) Gladue of Uncasville, CT; grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia), Richard Jr., Michael, Amber, Kimberley, and Amanda; cherished great-grandson, Jeremy; sister, Dorothy (Bruce) Lindblade; sister-in-law, Karen Anderson; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, son, Dan Dale and brother, Dan Anderson. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Rainy and Yvette.
Per De De's wishes, there will be no services at this time but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA in her name. DeDe was an amazing friend when I worked at Theta a million years ago. She was fun and always made us laugh. What a sense of humor. I'm sad I never got to reconnect with her. What a special girl. Big hug up there DeDe!!
