Gary Garr Obituary

GARY R. GARR, 70 PHOENIX - Gary R. Garr, 70, passed away Sept. 29, 2010, in his home in Phoenix of natural causes. Gary was born Dec. 31, 1939, in Rockford. Graduated from East High School in 1958. Survived by brother, Paul Garr; daughters, Keri Baetsle and Carla James; granddaughters, Janet Carpenter, Traci Grooms-Baetsle, Christine Shaw and Felicia Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Kailie Beggs, Lily Mae Smith and Hayden Shaw. It was Gary's wish to donate his body to the advancement of science. Memorial service will be held in Iowa at a later date to celebrate his life. Memorials can be sent to 810 Walnut Ave., Woodward, IA 50276.

Gary was my boss for a number of years at Reed Chatwood, but more than that, he was a great friend, a teacher, a mentor, and he was more like a family member. When I think of Gary, it will always be with a smile. I pray God will comfort your hearts in your time of mourning...I loved Gary....
