Gerald Weber Obituary

GERALD 'JERRY' JAMES WEBER BELVIDERE - Jerry, lost his battle for life after a long fight with cancer on June 2, 2014, at his residence, surrounded by those who loved him. He was born October 4th, 1936, in Rockford, Illinois to the late Grace and Leonard Weber. He is survived by his wife Shirley; life partner, Connie Hyde; daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Warthen of Newark, OH; sons, Kevin (Patty) of Rockford, IL, Curt and Tod (Liz) all of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, Aaron (Laura) and Seth Warthen, Kyle, Myia, Asia, Nicholas (Jean), Heather and Cali Weber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Jean Weber and Shirley Sacrider; sisters-in-law, Janice Weber and Betty Weber; niece, Kelly Sacrider and granddaughter, Kara Joy Weber. Jerry served in the US Army and was retired from Chrysler after 40+ years. In his younger days he found excitement in racing stockcars in Pennsylvania and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. Many days you could find him outside washing and waxing his cars with the radio tuned to country. He loved to dance, the warmth of the sun, flip flops, fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends. The Weber family thanks Connie for the love and care she unselfishly provided to our dad and family during this time. No Services will be observed as requested. Memorial contributions along with your memories can be sent to any of the family members. A Memorial will be established at a later date.
