JACOB T. 'JAKE' JANUSEVIC, 21 ROCKFORD - Jacob T. "Jake" Janusevic, 21, of Rockford died unexpectedly Dec. 16, 2009. Born Feb. 20, 1988, in Rockford, the son of Bruce and Kathy (Niedermann) Janusevic. Jake graduated from Guilford High School in 2006, and attended Rock Valley College for a year. He worked at Culver's restaurant from 2004 to 2006, and at Papa John's Pizza from 2006 to the present. Jake had a great passion for music and was in the school band from middle school through high school, in the jazz band at Lincoln Middle School and Guilford High School; played the piano, clarinet, bass clarinet, guitar, and saxophone; and had played in several garage bands. Member of the football team at East High School during his freshman year and at Guilford High School from sophomore year through senior year. Former member of Boy Scout Troop 400/14 and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Survived by parents, Bruce and Kathy; brother, Jeff; sister, Emily; grandparents, Tom and Judy Janusevic and Karl and Rosemarie Niedermann; great-grandmother, Helen Beers; aunts and uncles, Mary (Jay) Sine, Karl (Casey) Niedermann, Mary Rose (Dave) Damisch, Laura Niedermann (Dave Snow), Jim Niedermann, Paul Niedermann and Amy (Kevin) Behling; cousins, Zack Haugdahl, Karl (Liz), Adrienne, Dan, Kendra and Aaron Niedermann, Luke, Ben and Hannah Damisch and Evy and Liam Behling; and second cousin, Cassandra Niedermann. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, in St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, with the Rev. Matthew Camaioni officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, and from 10 a.m. Saturday to time of Mass in the church.
