Dona and Family,

We were shocked and saddened to read about Jim's passing in the bulletin at church this morning. Jim was a fine Christian gentleman and truly a pillar of our church! I was fortunate to have served with him on two different call committees over the years. His leadership will be missed, but his example and legacy will continue to serve Immanuel for years to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dona

As you know, Jim was a great friend and mentor. While we didn't get to see as much of each other as we would have liked, getting to see you both at church or at a chance meeting in a grocery store parking lot was always a treat! I am so glad we were able to join you both for your 50th Wedding Anniversary. It is a memory Peggy and I will certainly cherish. You both have been great friends to the Diegel family for over 25 years now and Peggy and I send sincere condolences and prayers of comfort your way! Love You!

Kathy and I send or most heartfelt condolences and love to Dona and family. We know the battle has been a difficult one, and we were so glad once again to be part of the Class of 1964 reunion. That was a more special time every day. We're thinking fondly of the time and years with both of you. Those who thought they knew Jim were lucky people. Those who came to really know Jim know exactly what made him so special. Our blessings sent your way.

Dear Donna and family,
So sorry to read about Jim. Coming up to Illinois in April and had hoped to see the two of you as it's been a long time. Take care of yourself as so many have told me but know it is the truth and what Jim would have wanted you to do. This is when we need to "show our strength". I have been going to a Bereavement Group and it has been very helpful - makes you realize we are not the only ones going through this and you won't get over this anytime soon. Take care of Donna - hope to see you when I come to Illinois.
