Janet Schindler Obituary

JANET L. SCHINDLER, 50 MACHESNEY PARK - Janet L. Schindler, 50, died Sunday, May 8, 2011, at her home, with her soul mate, Mike Ribandt at her side, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Born Feb. 11, 1961, in Chicago to Thomas and Nancy (Preuss) Ohman. Janet worked as a legal secretary for years at Hinshaw and Culbertson. She loved Harley rides and traveling to Las Vegas and anywhere with a beach. Survived by mother, Nancy Mitchell; daughters, Jenna (Jason) Berger and Kaylee Schindler; their father, Mike Schindler; sisters, Diane Thomson and Elizabeth (Andreas) Hellinger; nephews, Trevor, Brendan and Jan; niece, Saskia; and many others. Predeceased by her father. Service at noon Saturday, May 14, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St., with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
