Jean Bergman Obituary
Jean I. Bergman, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born October 24, 1928, in Rockford; the daughter of Carl and Martha (Forberg) Bergman. Jean married Robert Robbins on July 10, 1948, in Rockford. She worked 18 years at Woodward Governor Company and retired in 1990. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children, Cristine Lindstrom of Machesney Park, Charles (Nancy) Robbins of Machesney Park, and Catherine (Mike) Jacobs of Winnebago, IL; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Tammy), Carl (Vivian), John (Gunilla) Fred (Barbara), and Ted (Dianna) Bergman; dear friend, Marilyn Carlson. Predeceased by twin sister, Joan Bergman; sister, Ann Bergman; brother & sister-in-law, Richard (Clara) Bergman; son-in-law, Greg Lindstrom and great-granddaughter, Courtney Lindstrom.
Funeral service will be at 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Zion Lutheran Church, 925 5th Ave. Rockford with Rev. Dr. Michael Thomas officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. in the church. To view the entire obituary, visit olsonfh.com.
