Joseph Alongi Obituary
Joseph Anthony Alongi, 84, of Rockford, IL died at 9:15 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 in Medina Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born May 7, 1936 in Rockford, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. And Feina (Cassioppi) Alongi. Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict serving overseas in Korea. Joe was employed by Trailways retiring 1992.
Survivors include: son David Alongi; daughter Dawn Moronez; grandchildren Joseph A. Alongi; Brianna S. (Keith) Peterson; Makenzie Clark and Dakota Moronez; four great grandchildren Chance, Aubree, Kylee and Paislee; brother Phil Alongi; Jack (Retha) Alongi. Predeceased by parents, sister Margie Lester and sister-in-law Eleanor Alongi.
A Funeral Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street Rockford, IL. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Winnebago, IL.
