Joseph Steinkamp Obituary

JOSEPH ALAN STEINKAMP 1959 T0 2011 BELVIDERE - Joseph Alan Steinkamp, formerly of Belvidere passed away suddenly while on a business trip in New York. He lived and worked in Austin, Texas. Father of beloved daughters, Alexandra and Mikayla Steinkamp, both of Bryan, Texas. Son of late Dr. John Steinkamp and wife, Helen. Brother, John (Susan) Steinkamp of Carlsbad, Calif., and sister, Janice (Joe) Schrott of Nashville, Tenn. Was active in school and community activities while growing up in Belvidere. Played basketball; avid Chicago Cubs fan; band (trumpet) member; obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, was on the Honor Roll; graduated from Drake University; enjoyed fishing with father/brother in Canada; spent many years sharing the family's Wisconsin lake house; and cherished every moment with his daughters. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him. Funeral at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Beck Funeral Home in Cedar Park, Texas. Any memorials should be made to the charity of your choice.
