Linda Cunningham Obituary

LINDA KAY CUNNINGHAM, 70 MAUSTON, WI - Linda Kay Cunningham, 70, died at her home near Mauston, Wisconsin May 7, 2015. She was born October 25, 1944, in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Shirland, IL and attended Hononegah High School. Linda worked at Wal-Mart in Beloit, WI, and then for several years as a department manager at the Lake Delton, WI Wal-Mart. She was preceded in death by her father, David P. McKee Sr.; her mother, Pauline (Hedman) McKee-Weaver; and several relatives. Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dayton "Bud" Cunningham; her children, Chuck (Margie) Cunningham, Belinda Cunningham, and Robb (Kristi Draheim) Cunningham; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her brother, David P. (Sandy) McKee Jr., plus several nieces, nephews, and many close friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 6th, at the Shirland United Methodist Church, 8030 North St, Shirland, IL 61079. If you cannot attend but would like to send your condolences, in place of flowers, please send cards to the Shirland United Methodist Church.

Linda will always be one of my best friends. She was one of the first people to greet me when I moved to Shirland and years later she became my sister-in-law for 16 years, then she was just my best friend again. I sure did miss her when she moved away from the area. I still remember the night Linda and Bud met.
