LOREN E. RICHOLSON, 76 DAVIS JUNCTION - Loren E. Richolson, 76, of Davis Junction died suddenly Monday, evening, Sept. 3, 2012, at home. He was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Rockford, son of Fred and Ruth (Boumgarden) Richolson. Loren graduated from Stillman Valley High School in 1956. He married Elsie Peterson on July 17, 1959, in the Congregational Christian Church in Stillman Valley. Loren was a farmer for 45 years in the Davis Junction area. He was active in his community serving as a volunteer fireman and trustee for the Stillman Valley Fire Dept. He also served on the Pork Producers Association board, the Stillman Valley Cemetery board (where he served as vice president), was a 50-year member of the Meridian Sun Lodge 505, the Scottish Rite, Tebala Shrine, Ogle County Shrine Club, Ogle County Trail Riders and Shrine Parade Staff. He was predeceased by loving wife, Elsie; parents; and sister, Judy Richolson. Survived by three children, Connie (Philip) Erdman of San Jose, Calif., Bradley (Julie) Richolson of Lindenwood and Valerie Richolson of Davis Junction; sister, Arlene Varble of Rochelle; brother, Darell Richolson of Dallas; grandchildren, Stefanie Erdman, Josh and Jack Richolson, Kaitlin and Grant Watson. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Road, Stillman Valley, with the Rev. David Boumgarden, pastor of River Glen Presbyterian Church in Naperville, officiating. Burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home, with a 7 p.m. Masonic service.
