Margarete Veil Obituary
Margarete Veil, 80, of Roscoe, passed away peacefully in her home on February 3, 2016. Born June 10, 1935 in Germany, she met the love of her life Siegfried Veil at age 18, before immigrating to the United States. They married on August 6, 1955 in Chicago. Both shared a love for the Lord, and devoted their lives to ministry. In the years to come they would have five children. Her faith prevailed despite losing her husband at 45 years of age. Later in life, she would open her home to foster children, always willing to accept any case. She will be remembered for her overflowing hospitality and unwaiverd faith. Survived by children, Christa Veil, Siegfried (Jeanne) Veil, Rebecca (Lester) Whaples, Annette Veil, and Daniel Veil; grandchildren, Stephan, Hannah, Naomi, Leah, Levi, Miriam, Isaac, Jacob, Simon, Renae, Mark, Priscilla, Noah, and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Piper, Tegan, and Jonah; siblings, Christa Asen and Herman Mueller.
Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Monday, February 8, at Life Church, 5910 Elevator Rd, Roscoe, IL 61073. Visitation 1 p.m. until time of service. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Life Church. To share a condolence visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com.
