Marjorie A. Walley 1925—2018
Marjorie A. Walley, 92, of Capron IL passed away peacefully on July 6, 2018 in Mercy Harvard Hospital. Marjorie was born on August 10, 1925 in Rockton, Il, the daughter of Roy and Lynnice Black. She married Norris R. Walley on January 15, 1949 in Sharon WI. Marjorie worked for the Department of Children and Family Services and was foster mom and nanny. She loved playing with the kids, farming, church activities, and teaching Sunday School. She was a Grange member for 40 years and a 62 year member of Blaine Untied Methodist Church. She is loved and missed by her husband, Norris; children, Patrick (Vicky) Walley, Lucille "Kay" (Earl), Martin Walley; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sister Nancy Webster and Vicky Welzen a good friend of Marjorie. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Black and sister, Betty Dempsey.
A celebration of life will take place at 12:00 p.m., Saturday July 28, 2018 at Blaine United Methodist Church, 7200 Blaine Rd, Poplar Grove, IL 61065 with Rev Tom Hay officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials to the family and church. To light a candle or share a condolence visit www.AndersonFCS.com
