Jan & Tom,
You can imagine my shock to hear of the loss of your wonderful son. Seems like yesterday Jan, you, Jody & myself were all pregnant!! Time really goes fast, and atleast you have all the memories of your life together. Keep them close in your hearts. Your both in our hearts and prayers. Much Love & Friendship to you both.

Tom and Jan,
My daughter Julie was a friend, mainly at school. I am her father. She loved him very much and I am sure that you will be missing him. I think I met him once, but Julie spoke highly of him and his accomplishments.

From the time Michael was born until his untimely passing he was a bright light in Jan and Tom's life, and anyone that was lucky enough to call him friend. Words cannot express how very sorry Dave and I are for you and Tom. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

The world is permanently a darker place but he would want us all to still find light in things. I'm deeply sorry and can't even fathom the pain you are feeling. You two, Tom and Jan, brought an overly wonderful person into this world and for that I could never thank you enough.

We only met Michael once when he came to visit our grandson, Alex Peterson. (We live in Peoria, but visit our family in Rockford.) Alex considered Michael his best friend, and is terribly sad. My deepest sympathy. Michael was always such a kind, wonderful gentleman when I spoke with him. I loved that he always remembered that I was "Emily's aunt"! My thoughts and prayers are sent with much love to his loving parents. I will always remember him fondly.
