Dear Krause Family, I didn't know your son and don't know any of you, but I heard about Mitchel's accident and I'm so sorry. I lost my own son 2 yrs ago on May 22, so I have a good idea of what you are going through right now. There are many things I'd like to say to you, to give you some hope for your own future--I understand how right now you can't really imagine how you will go forward from this, but you will, in time. Please believe me. It WILL get easier. I would highly recommend joining a face to face grief group so you can talk with others who are dealing with loss. You'd be surprised how much that can help. If you can't find one or need help finding one or just want to talk some time with someone who "gets it," email me at cherie48 @yahoo.com and we'll take it from there. A lot of people helped me and now it is my turn to pay it forward...

I was taking my daughter to school two years ago and it was pouring down rain. I saw this young man standing at the bus stop and he was by himself. So I motioned for him to come get in my car and because he knew my daughter, he came running. We had just a few minutes to chat and he was delightful and respectful and had beautiful sparkly eyes. I hesitated that morning, for just a moment, on whether or not I should pick him up. Not because I didn't want to but because his mom and dad would not know. I am so glad I did pick him up. He touched my life for a few minutes and I was blessed to know him. I am so sorry for your loss. Obviously you all participated in raising a wonderful young man. God knows how you are all feeling right now. Keep hanging on and somewhere down the road the sun will come up again. God Bless You All.

I light this candle because I missed out on alot (as kids grow older, and everyone goes there own ways for many reasons).
I learned something from Mitch yesterday. That I need to live like he did. 'Live, 'Laugh, and above all 'Love one another. (Help each other in school). The Holy Bible quotes(red letter)... "This is my commandment, That ye Love one another, as I have Loved you." It sounds like Mitchel lived that commandment.

I love you so much son. Your in gods hands and I will see you again in heaven god willing. You touched so many lives and made me so very proud every day. I know your looking down at all your family and freinds and trully see what a huge possitive impact you made on so many lives. You trully made this a better world to anyone who knew you. I could never put into words how much myself Kacy Mackenzie Nick and Cam love and miss you. It feels like somone riped a huge hole in our family and the pain is unbearable. The only peace we have is knowing you are the angle that is in god,s loving arms. We so wish you were still here with us, I would give anything to be able to hold you in my arms and have that wonderfull smile brighten up our home. I had Mitch in English class last year and am absolutely heartbroken. You would be hard pressed to find someone else with as genuinely kind a heart as Mitch's. Everyday he would come to class with a smile on his face, an eagerness to learn, and a willingness to help others. I could not think more highly of Mitch as a student or as an individual. I wrote this to you before you were born, it's always been true, & will remain this way forever.
No matter how busy my schedule - or hectic as our life seems, I will always have time for you. I will do my very best to fulfill your needs. No matter how simple the request, or complicated the task, you can rely on me. I want you to be able to confide in me - to share your hopes, dreams, and fears with me. And know that no matter what decisions you make in life that I will always stand by you & love you regardless, because you are my child, my first child.
I wrote this letter to Mitchel in his baby book. It was titled "the kind of mother I want to be is..." Mitchel didn't just made it easy to be that kind of mom. Mitchel lived that way. He was that kind of friend brother and son. He took the dream of the kind of mother I wanted to be and he made it his way to live life.
We would say to eachother everynight for as long as I can remember "I love you whole bunches". I always will.
