Peter Jardine Obituary
Peter J. Jardine, 97, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. Born August 19, 1919, in Rockford, IL; son of Gustof and Teresa (Massari) Jardine. Veteran of the United States of Army having served in WWII. Married Priscilla Nagro on October 26, 1946, in St. Anthony's Church in Rockford. Worked as a furniture finisher and also as a wood worker. He found great enjoyment in working with wood, being a craftsman, playing guitar and most of all spending time with his family. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Priscilla; daughters, Jill (Ed) Krusey, Jackie Burt; grandchildren, Nicole, Ed Jr. and Katie Krusey; great-grandchildren, Jared Krusey and Jonah Johnson; great-great-grandchild, Ryan Krusey. Predeceased by his parents; siblings, Rose, Fred, Albert, Tony, Louis, Ann and Mary; son-in-law, Joe Burt.
Funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. until time of service. Entombment following after Military Honors in Sunset Memorial Gardens. To share a condolence visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com
