Raymond Tolefree Obituary
Raymond E. Tolefree, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 21, 2018. He was born August 21, 1965, in Rockford; the son of Leon and Littie Mae Tolefree. Raymond married the former Alversia Jarrett March 30, 1998. He was employed as freight handler by United Parcel Service, and self-employed as a mechanic. Raymond was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. He graduated from Jefferson High School. Raymond leaves to cherish many loving memories, is loving wife, Alversia; six sons, Quentin and Brandon Tolefree, Marvin and Michael Jarrett, John Duckett, Aaron Wilson and Mykell Jarrett; five daughters, Carmisha, Miaka (Donnie Fort) and Amber (Rell Simmons), Shamya Jarrett and Raven Wilson; 16 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren; mother, Littie Mae Tolefree; two brothers, Alonzo Block and Leon Tolefree; sisters, Betty Holmes, Mary Nel (John) Clark and Barbara Tolefree; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including best friends, Tyrone Anderson and Flint Jackson, and special cousin, Donald Tennial. He was predeceased by his father and brother, Joe Louis Bronson.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018, at West Side Church of Christ, 1523 Morgan Street. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.

He will be sorely missed. Our families were close. I remember Raymond's birth just about a year before my graduation and subsequent entry into the military.
