Sally Reed Obituary

SALLY ELAINE REED, 64 DAVIS - Sally Elaine Reed, 64, of Davis died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at home. Born Nov. 29, 1947, in Rockford; daughter of Howard and Maurine (Perkins) Gale. She graduated in 1965 from Pecatonica High School. She and William Gene Reed, son of William and Marjorie Reed, were married April 23, 1966, in Pecatonica. She and her husband farmed for many years in the southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois area. Most important to her was family. She married the love of her life, enjoyed raising her three children, and thought the world of her four grandchildren. She loved to read and to cook for her family. Surviving family members include her husband; children, Carla (Tim) Bridges and Suzanne (Curt) Szymanski, both of Durand, and Richard (Sara) Reed of Orangeville; grandchildren, Paige and James Bridges, Jacob and Elyse Szymanski; extra grandchildren, Abby, Zack and Mitch; and brother, Wayne (Martha) Gale of Winnebago. Predeceased by parents; grandparents; in-laws; and brother-in-law, Richard Reed. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota. Private burial. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Sally's family invites friends to extend condolences, share a memory, or light a candle in her honor at daughenbaughfh.com.
